Nathan Allen

As an avid skateboarder since childhood, Nathan Allen always loved the unencumbered feeling of freedom it gave him. Combining that with a passion for simple design and engineering, he co-founded Stator to build an innovative vehicle that would offer that same feeling of freedom. His mission from the outset: Combine safety, ease of ride and style to create a new kind of urban transportation.

Nathan brought his 20 years of expertise in Industrial Design to the project, the same knowledge he used to develop prototypes and design products for Google[x] and Idealab. Nathan earned an Associate degree in CAD/CAM Manufacturing, a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design, and an Master’s degree in Transportation Systems and Design from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he is a member of the faculty and the Director of Industrial Design.
